Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for: Drafts routine pleadings, affidavits, orders and other legal documentation. Proofreads and edits legal documents and other written materials to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintains legal calendaring system to ensure timely compliance with various legal deadlines. Analyzes and coordinates the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports and evidence which is necessary to respond to discovery and assist attorney(s) with preparing responses. Utilizes technical information to make independent decisions and recommendations to the supervising attorney. Corresponds with various court personnel, local counsel and adversary attorneys. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervising attorney and/or personnel. Must have demonstrated understanding and strong working knowledge of complex commercial litigation, commercial creditor bankruptcy matters and collection cases. Should preferably have 1-3 years of paralegal experience in Litigation. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 to include Word, Outlook and Excel. 2- or 4-year college degree and Paralegal Certification preferred. Must be proficient drafting skills and strong attention to detail. Must type 50+ WPM.
