Closing/Escrow Attorney The candidate advises clients in real estate transactions involving the purchase, sale or refinance of a home or commercial real estate property. Disburses checks and wires in accordance with settlement statements. Initiates checks and wires. Monitors banks approval of checks and wires. Answers the phone and processes client requests. Maintain records of various client accounts. Ensures compliance with banks wire cut-off times. Willingly performs other duties as assigned or requested. Sends FedEx packages with financial documentation. Maintains knowledge of state-specific disbursement procedures. Reports to the State Managing Attorney. Must have a Juris Doctorate, be licensed and hold a Bar card in good standing within the state in which they practice, experience in the buying and selling of real estate, deed transfers, title issues, boundary dispute, easement or zoning issues, and other legal documents regarding the determination of land ownership. Must hold or be able to obtain a notary public certification prior to being employed. Must possess a valid driver s license within the state of residence.
