Family Law Attorney The candidate will be overseeing 20+ active cases with supervision involving dissolution of marriage, legal separation, parentage, child custody, spousal support, child support, attorney's fees, medium and high net worth clients, and complex litigation, as well as prosecuting and defending restraining orders and contempt of court matters. Client interaction from the beginning to the end of the case. The firm's focus is on hand-holding and client control to achieve the best results. Drafting client and attorney declarations, legal research (Westlaw, CEB, etc.), points and authorities memos, discovery (propounding and responding), etc. Basic understanding of financial documents, including tax returns, calculating support on DissoMaster, and completing sensible Income and Expense Declarations; more advanced skills such as examining the marital standard of living and business valuations are a plus. Court appearances (remote and in-person) all over LA County and occasional outlying counties (Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside). Should have 1+ years of legal experience. Family law experience is strongly preferred but not required. Should have 1 year of a lawyer. Should have a California bar license.
