Though the Los Angeles office of this full-service litigation firm continues to specialize in complex insurance litigation coverage, the firm’s main office has recently tried to cash in on the technology litigation market to “bring some growth to the firm.” The transition has not been an easy one; the firm has had an unusually high attrition rate in recent years (insiders tell us some associates left to pursue government jobs but many departed for better money with different firms). However, while salaries remain slightly below market, many observers think the firm is capable of breaking through.
Paralegal, Trial The candidate should preferably have 3-5 years of experience. Must have substantial experience in all aspects of complex litigation, including trial preparation and case management. Must be proficient in electronic court filing, E-discovery, litigation software and technology tools. Top notch organizational and planning skills as well as strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must be able work overtime as needed and have the flexibility to travel out-of-state on occasion when working with attorneys during a trial.
