Senior Litigation Paralegal The candidate will work directly under attorneys and manage other paralegals. Devise processes and protocols to ensure efficient administration. Program document templates. Assist in preparing and finalizing legal documents, organizing files, calendaring deadlines, filing motions and pleadings with the court, managing vendors, and more. Comfortable wearing many hats as help with cases in all phases of the dispute process, from pre-litigation through litigation and appeal. Direct and manage other paralegals or legal assistants. Help design better processes and protocols for the firm. Audit files regularly to ensure that the firm's systems, processes, and protocols are being followed. Finalize and file legal documents. Research and compile court rules and ensure that the firm's documents, processes, and protocols comply with all applicable court rules. Assist in opening and organizing new files; mailing, faxing or arranging for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, opposing parties, witnesses, and court officials. Help draft and type office memos, letters, and other correspondence, under the direction of our attorneys. Calendar important deadlines and update as needed. Ensure case lists are updated prior to Firm Meetings. Propound and respond to discovery. Assist in reviewing legal publications and performing legal research to identify laws and court decisions relevant to pending cases. Assist in other work-related duties as assigned. The candidate should preferably have an Associate's degree with a Paralegal certificate or other qualification under Bus. & Prof. Code ÂA? 6450 and 4+ years of paralegal and administrative experience. Technological fluency is required. Must have an even demeanor, excellent writing and speaking skills, the ability to thrive under pressure, incredible organization skills, and the willingness to learn. You must be able to use and navigate our software platforms and evaluate new platforms. Must have the ability to work under pressure and pivot as necessary, manage a high volume of work, copy edit and proofread documents; strong attention to detail; strong communication and interpersonal skills; skilled at legal research and succinctly summarizing information found for the attorneys; strong writing skills. Must be open to learning and be willing to put in substantial effort to become a good writer. Should have desired experience in: Microsoft 365, Adobe, Clio Manage, Janney Portal, CaseMail, Trellis, Infotrack/One Legal.
