Senior Immigration Paralegal The candidate's duties include: Preparing labor certification documents and overseeing PERM labor certification recruitment process; Preparing documents in support of adjustment of status applications and visa petitions; Maintaining communication with clients; ensuring timeliness in responding to inquiries from employees and managers regarding immigration matters; Collecting evidence and documentation from clients and conducting case audits; Maintaining communication with government agencies; Maintaining client databases with respect to approval and validity dates of labor certification applications, adjustment of status applications, and visa petitions; Performing research for attorneys and reviewing immigration regulations as applied to various case scenarios; Drafting petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing visa classification eligibility or other immigration benefits; Assisting with briefs and Requests for Evidence, as needed or requested; Tracking and understanding immigration policy and regulatory changes. The candidate will work with a prominent business immigration firm with an international client base. Primary responsibilities include preparation and submission of PERM labor certifications, immigrant visa petitions, adjustment of status applications and assisting with H-1B and other non-immigrant visa petitions. Will assist immigration attorneys in assessing immigration options for corporate clients, obtaining U.S. work authorization for foreign nationals, and maintaining valid visa status of clients foreign national employees. Should have 4 years of full-time experience in corporate/business immigration. Should have experience in the following areas: H-1B, L-1, O-1, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, NIW, PERM and J visa. Experience preparing and handling the filings under the guidance of an attorney is required. Any experience with family based immigration is preferred. Should have excellent writing, speaking, research and organizational skills. She/he should be reliable, responsible and able to work independently when required. Should also be able to easily take direction from attorneys. The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred.
