Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will support attorneys in delivering the highest level of service to internal and external clients alike. Will maintain a professional demeanor and focus and seeks to maximize team contributions and minimize disruption to the workday. Creates, edits, formats and proofreads documents. Prepares legal documents for eFiling and filing via PACER. Communicates to and on behalf of his or her attorney using Firm technology. Prepares new client matter request packet and coordinates approval; coordinates conflict search processes; prepares retainer letters. Enters, tracks and coordinates new client/matter information. Reviews and edits bills according to client billing arrangements. Edits and coordinates client pitches with Marketing Department. Maintains InterAction and/or Extranet data. Maintains electronic and paper files in accordance with Firm guidelines. Maintains and monitors attorney calendars. Coordinates and/or books travel arrangements. Prepares, tracks and maintains attorney expenses in Chrome River. Organizes and coordinates conference calls and client meetings. Must have High school diploma. Associate degree is preferred. Should have 5+ years of legal secretarial experience. Preferably have 10+ years of legal secretarial experience. Must Speak and write in English clearly and succinctly. Able to draft correspondence preferred. Must have good Business Level Math. Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Chrome River; InterAction; Carpe Diem- Advanced: Troubleshoots technology issues. Notary Public certificate preferred.
