HIPAA Privacy Attorney The candidate will be handling data breaches and incident response. Breach response for healthcare and other industry sector organizations. Advising clients on HIPAA and other state and federal data breach notification obligations. Drafting HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures. Responding to HHS investigations and audits. Drafting HIPAA risk assessments. Independently manage a caseload; working cases from beginning to end. Communicating with clients and provide status reports. Must have JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice in the state of Illinois with 3+ years of HIPAA privacy, compliance, and regulatory experience. Should have Data protection/privacy/cyber liability experience. The ability to communicate and discuss technical concepts at many levels, from IT professionals to those without a background in technology is required. Should have strong written and oral communication skills. Legal project management experience is helpful.
