Legal Secretary The candidate will be preparing correspondence including legal documents, forms and letters. File court documents and related correspondence, memorandum, pleadings and related documents. E-file and paper file documents with local, state, federal and appellate courts. Serve discovery and subpoenas. Maintain calendars and keep attorneys aware of scheduled events and approaching deadlines. Handle the incoming and outgoing mail for the supported attorneys. Schedule hearings, meetings, depositions, conference calls, assist with travel arrangements when necessary. Enter time and handle billing for assigned timekeepers. Assist fellow workers and/or other timekeepers as needed and requested. High School diploma required, Bachelor s degree preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and a typing speed of 70+ wpm. Preferred knowledge in Worldox Document Management and Omega Legal. Should have 2-12 years of legal experience primarily in civil litigation.
