Paralegal / Legal Assistant DUTIES: Review and analysis of legal issues associated with a variety of litigation and transactional matters. Coordinate the written and documentary discovery process, including coordination of hearings and depositions. Coordinate creation of litigation support database. Assist in factual investigations, as well as documentation of processes undertaken in factual investigation. Coordinate and assist in trial preparation. Perform basic legal research. Perform administrative tasks associated with corporate and intellectual property practice. Handle the Firm s mail and docketing calendar. Other clerical and administrative duties as required. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Qualifications: BA/BS degree or a certificate from an accredited paralegal program in addition to 2 years of experience in a law firm or corporate law environment. Technological competency is a must; need to be skilled with MS Word, Excel, Google G Suite, as well as being self-sufficient on information technology tasks, and having the capacity to assist others in information technology tasks. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys, staff and clients and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentiality. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Workload occasionally requires more than regular work week hours to perform essential duties of the position; may require irregular hours. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member.
