Associate Attorney Personal Injury The candidate will plan case development by studying case information, conferring with other attorneys. Research law, utilizing precedent and reasoning. Persuasive Writing; writing motions, briefs and appeals. Manage cases by monitoring schedules; expediting requirements; obtaining and forwarding information. Help clients by initiating and maintaining contact; preparing clients to answer discovery, keeping clients informed of case status. Support attorneys at trial and hearings, by organizing evidence and exhibits; taking notes; scheduling witnesses; discussions. Should have strong writing and legal analysis skills. Strong Texas litigation experience required. Technologically/IT intense environment/Must be tech savvy with Mac OS and Microsoft Product Suite. Position will be required to make Court appearances, attend depositions, draft pleadings and discovery. Present Plaintiff for deposition required. Should take/conduct fact witness deposition. Should issue/answer discovery. Expert Deposition experience (taking and presenting) required. Witness deposition experience (taking and presenting) required. Pleading preparation experience (Complaints/Petition, Motions, etc.) required. Brief writing experience required. Party and third-party discovery experience (preparation and response) required.
