Paralegal / Office Manager The candidate will provide legal and administrative staff support to attorney team in all phases of litigation and general counsel representation for firm's core practice areas (Litigation, Contractual, Real Estate, General Business, Construction Defect). Will Assist in growing the firm as a legal service resource for clients and the communities in which it practices. Analyzing and improving process, instruction, developing protocol, coordinating education, establishing expectations and individual goals and monitoring the quality and quantity of work. Assist attorney team in organizing, managing and executing daily case workflow and processes as needed. Clear and respectful communication with firm co-workers, clients, opposing counsel and vendors. Utilize thorough understanding of state and local court rules, guidelines. Legal research, including check citations. Draft, review and revise correspondence, documents and pleadings as needed. Proofreading of all generated and filed or recorded documents. Must have Associate's degree or 2-4 years of experience in legal services, communications/writing or other similar fields. Should have experience with all aspects of latest Microsoft products. Must type 50+ wpm. Must be skilled in time/billing software and legal industry databases. Should have excellent writing, verbal, creative and organizational skills. Experience working in law firm, dealing with deadlines and billable requirements is preferred. Knowledge of court rules, guidelines and local courts is desired. Experience with legal case management programs is preferred.
