Medical Malpractice Paralegal (Plaintiff) The candidate will provide overall support to attorneys' needs. Must have 3 years medical malpractice paralegal experience in New York State. Will be a responsible team player, who is comfortable working independently in our fast-paced litigation practice. Supporting attorneys with end-to-end carriage of medical malpractice claims, duties will include: Responding to new client enquiries; Requesting medical records and liens; Drafting pleadings including S&C's and BP s; Electronic filing of pleadings and other court documents; Drafting discovery demands and responses; Drafting discovery motions; Compliance with court-orders; Trial preparation; Drafting settlement documents; Drafting infant compromise orders and death compromise orders. Familiarity with legal research is needed.
