Contract Attorney RESPONSIBILITIES: Heavy emphasis on intake and pre-litigation matters; Fundamental knowledge of all aspects of pre-litigation, liens, subrogation and discovery is essential; Significant negotiation with adjustors, lien holders, subrogation interests and medical providers; Prepare and answer discovery, present and take depositions, and participate in motion practice as needed. Briefing and writing on legal issues, motions and occasionally appeals. Depending on experience level, handling own docket to the extent appropriate and assist on larger matters as well as work with the paralegal assigned to the case. REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years' experience in personal injury matters. Deposition and Trial experience are a plus. Practicing family law, criminal law, probate law or bankruptcy is welcome. Firm knowledge of legal issues concerning: paid \incurred lien and subrogation matters. Solid time management skills. Strong research and writing skills. Can do attitude.
