This mid size New York office's practice is transactional in nature and focused on banking and real estate finance, development, and leasing. Attorneys represent domestic banks, investment banks, and U.S. branches of major European, Scandinavian and Japanese banking organizations. All beginning associates participate in a formal legal education program designed to acquaint them with the fundamentals of the firm's practice. Attorneys enjoy competitive salaries and benefits and are encouraged to participate in pro bono work.
Legal Secretary/Administrative Assistant Duties: Organize and maintain attorney contacts and calendar, including travel logistics and scheduling. Answer incoming telephone calls and document and relay messages. Client billing and related forms. Prepare and submit expense reports. Input and/or update attorney time entries. Organize and maintain files as well as other administrative responsibilities. Qualifications: 2 years secretarial experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Works effectively, calmly and quickly under pressure in a fast paced environment. Ability to prioritize and multi task. Ability to work independently as well as part of team. Ability to maintain and handle confidential information. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
