Workers' Compensation Paralegal The candidate will open and close files, organize files, review bills, prepare various acknowledgment letters to clients, insured, and commission. Open, sort, route, and organize all mail. Log mail into case management software, docket specific deadlines, and tasks for an attorney(s). Scan and drop appropriate documents into ProLaw (pleadings, Commission filings, clocked forms, etc.). Coordinate IMEs and request medical records. Prepare settlement documents. General follow-up. Cooperate with co-workers. Work as a member of a team. Accept change in a productive manner. Should also have a four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program, along with 1-3 years of related work experience. An Associates or better in Paralegal Studies preferred. Should have a Bachelors or better in Law or related field. Certified Paralegal and accredited Legal Professional preferred. Should be professional, motivated, organized, and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Must be a Team Player who works well as a member of a group. Should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
