Seeking Immigration Attorney / Removal Defense with COURT experience in removal defense. Candidate will: 1) Closely cooperate with office manager to supervise five paralegals w workload of about 200 active cases each to ensure applications and supporting evidence are properly prepared and submitted. 2) Make appearances at all master calendar and merits hearings except 1st master hearings+ adjustment of status and citizenship interviews+ ISAP. 3) Draft motions to reopen and appeals with EOIR/BIA/ AAO, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and hardship waiver attorney letters. 4.5) Ability to represent minors in CIJIS cases is a BIG PLUS. 5) Monitor court calendar to make sure managing partner doesn t have to go to court other than for the first master hearings and that conflicts do not arise. California license or fluency in Spanish language are preferred. Significant immigration court experience with merits hearings is a must.
