Immigration Attorney Duties: Prepare the client for interviews and court hearings. Maintain physical and electronic client files, including case notes, correspondence, filings, calendars, and dockets. Qualifications: A member of the Texas State Bar licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing with any other United States jurisdiction. 2 years of experience as a practicing immigration attorney. Experience assisting with managing a considerable immigration caseload, strategic planning, and meeting multiple deadlines. Experience with the Cuban Adjustment Act and Cuban asylum are a significant plus. Experience with permanent employee/employer cases is also a plus. Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, and speak). Must have experience handling Latin American asylum cases, family-based immigrant visa petitions, visa processing overseas, adjustment of status, humanitarian visas for immigrants victim of a crime (U-Visa), VAWA, H-1B, PERM, EB-1(1), (2), NIW, TN, E-1, E-2, and other immigration visas. Must be dedicated to customer service and/or maintaining strong customer relationships and obtaining favorable reviews. Be willing to represent immigration clients before Immigration Court, Asylum Office, and USCIS as well as state courts on various immigration matters, including affirmative asylum and removal defense. Experience in these areas is a plus. Experience assisting with the management of a considerable immigration caseload, strategic planning, and meeting multiple deadlines.
