Bilingual Immigration Attorney Candidate will be taking on tough immigration cases located in downtown Minneapolis. Will focus on family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, VAWA, U visas and T visas. Must: Be admitted to practice law in any state in the United States. If not admitted to Minnesota, eligible for admission to the Minnesota Bar. Have 2+ years' experience in immigration law. Clinical experience from law school may be considered depending on the nature of the clinical work. Speak, read and write English and Spanish fluently. Additional languages are welcome, but fluency in English and Spanish is a job requirement. Be passionate about immigration law, defending immigrants and the rule of law. Be a self-starter capable of managing own caseload. Be comfortable appearing in Immigration Court, as well as federal court. Possess excellent writing and analytical skills Enjoy working directly with clients Note: Start October 1, 2018, although it start part-time the week of September 24, 2018 is welcome.
