Part Time Paralegal-Medical Records Acquisition Responsibilities: Complete all steps necessary to obtain highly sensitive medical records. Review files and determine whether or not medical records need to be ordered. Correspond with clients to obtain appropriate HIPAA authorizations to obtain medical records. Save all obtained medical records to client folders and update case management software as needed. Qualifications: College degree/paralegal certificate preferred. Must have previous experience in medical records acquisition. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented. Able to handle very sensitive and confidential information/content. Experience in working directly with clients. Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently. Team oriented. Behaving professionally and with a positive, upbeat, can do, and take ownership of the job attitude.
