Settlement Paralegal The candidate will work the case from the point of settlement through closing. Responsibilities focus mainly on resolving payments, collecting funds and preparing funds for disbursement through accounting department. Will be responsible for case management while working to finalize personal injury settlements. Communicate with medical providers, collections offices, subrogation offices, etc. for attorney-directed negotiations/resolutions on accounts. Act as a liaison between the personal injury paralegals/attorneys and the accounting department to expedite the settlement process. Prepare settlement distributions and allocations. Must have accounting experience, preferably at a law firm or personal injury paralegal experience. Should be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
