Immigration Paralegal (Family-Based) The candidate will be responsible for scheduling consultations and client meetings on behalf of attorneys. Following internal intake procedures after a client retains our firm. Drafting petitions and applications. Preparing signature packages for clients. Meeting with clients to review forms and collect signatures. Assembling filing packages for filing with the government agency. Communicating case updates to individual clients. Making regular updates to our case management system including client contact information, case tracking information, and client communications. Taking calls from prospective clients and scheduling calls and meetings with the attorney. Tracking case progress and conducting appropriate follow-up to ensure timely filing and adjudication. Following internal billing procedures and following up with clients about billing matters. The candidate should have basic knowledge of U.S. immigration procedures for overseas visa applications, adjustment of status, removal of conditions, naturalization, waivers, and asylum. Must have excellent communication skills. 2-4 years of experience working with immigrants and/or in a legal environment is a plus.
