Immigration Paralegal The candidate works under the direction of an attorney and assists clients from all walks of life (literally, from big-time celebrities to nearly indigent people) in many different forms of immigration relief and benefits. Duties include direct client contact, preparing and filing petitions before USCIS, assisting in preparing motions to vacate in state and federal court as well as the management of EOIR cases. Should possess the following: Experience with Family Petitions, Removal Defense, Waiver Preparation, Employment Visas, Immigrant, and Non-Immigration Consular Processing, Naturalization Applications (N-400), I-485; Have familiarity with the California Superior Court system; Be able to execute the entire application process as well as responding to RFEs. Requires constant communication with clients, updating the case management program, and the monitoring of caseloads and expiration dates from inception to completion; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be proactive and detail-oriented; Computer proficient. Preference for those with immigration law experience. English and a strong preference to those with reading/written/speaking fluency in Spanish. Should preferably have 2+ year of PQE.
