Paralegal The candidate will be joining a Plaintiffs Personal Injury law firm in related area of practice. Will actively manage and follow up on medical care of clients, help coordinate and encourage full treatment of all injuries Coordinate with in house intake department to evaluate and sign up new clients, including in person such as home and hospital signups. Note that this may require occasional travel in southern Louisiana as well as occasional calls or meetings with potential clients on evenings and weekends. Make active contact with medical providers. Maintain contact with clients, and promptly respond to all client inquiries. Verify insurance coverage and maintain contact with insurance company. Prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Support neighboring parishes in the area. The candidate must have High School Diploma, and 2+ years of experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury case manager. Knowledge of personal injury insurance limits and process in the State of Louisiana is imperative. Must have solid knowledge relative to local medical providers, clinics, diagnostic centers, etc. Organize and maintain cases using Needles case management software. Have demonstrated organization skills while working in a fast-paced environment. Have an awareness of state laws as it applies to personal injury claims, motor vehicle accidents and insurance. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, must be able to multi-task and work under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service skills are critical Bilingual English and Spanish is a big plus. Litigation Experience, and Needles case management software exposure is preferred. Good to have a knowledge of both Louisiana and Texas personal injury law and case workup procedures.
