Trial Paralegal - Insurance Defense The candidate will be working cases up to trial and providing hearing and trial support. Assist in development and presentation of evidence in court proceedings. Provide litigation support at evidentiary hearings and trials. Assist in imaging and OCRing of paper documents. Review and analyze discovery and other case documentation. Identify, locate and gather records. Obtain and verify documents and evidence. Must have knowledge and experience with trial programs, i.e. Trial Pad and Trial Director. Should have knowledge and experience with virtual meeting platforms, I.e. Zoom, Teams, Skype. Must have an associate's or bachelor's degree OR Paralegal Certificate preferred. Should have 4+ years defense litigation paralegal experience. Must have experience and knowledge of local, state, and federal rules. Should have experience and knowledge of calendaring deadlines based on local, state, and federal rules. Must have experience with preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, medical record analysis, discovery, and trial preparation. Must have experience with drafting billing entries and surpassing billable hour requirements. Should have experience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, etc.). Must have strong computer skills: proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically, Power Point, Sharepoint, Excel, and Teams. Strong knowledge in document management systems, ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases.
