Paralegal - Personal Injury Specialist The candidate will seek as a Litigation Paralegal and will provide "World Class Customer Service" to the clients and assist the assigned attorney handling matters including: Conducting client interviews, acquiring records, providing updates to the client cases. Maintaining clients file; performing calendar scheduling; obtaining files from previous attorneys for on-boarding clients: and scheduling demand consults. Will be safeguarding and protecting the client's right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the client's confidential information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request, authorization, company policy and HIPAA regulations as appropriate. Will be providing excellent customer service by being attentive, respectful and professional at all times; insuring understanding of clients and coworkers request and following-through as promised; being proactive in identifying and addressing client's concerns, or problems. Will communicate with department supervision on an on-going basis, providing information and data as requested. Promptly reports to supervision any customer service concerns and/or any potential HIPAA violations. The candidate must have High School Diploma or GED. Paralegal certification is highly desirable but must have 3 year's of personal injury paralegal experience. Excellent computer skills are required. Administrative experience in an office setting; previous release of information, medical records, or other directly related experience in a healthcare or law firm environment is preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to effectively use computer software and technology as required by the firm including Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language. Substantial client contact is required. Must have great communication skills and the ability to give world-class customer service. Attention to detail is an absolute must. Proven customer service experience is beneficial. Must be able to operate efficiently and effectively in a current remote setting with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to read, understand and become knowledgeable of required firm work instructions and policies and procedures is essential. Demonstrated ability to comprehend simple, healthcare terminology. Previous experience in summarizing medical records is preferred. Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently utilize a computer for data input, retrieval of data, and all other tasks associated with the release of information services is desired .Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality is a must.
