Bilingual Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be joining a top rated personal injury law firm. Preparing draft Petitions, discovery requests and responses, motions and responses. Calendaring and tracking all deadlines, and ensuring timely compliance with same. Gather medical and billing records, review and summarize same. Prepare draft settlement demand letters and packages for attorney review. Negotiate personal injury claims with adjusters pursuant to attorney direction and oversight. Discuss options and settlement authority with clients pursuant to attorney direction and oversight. Research causes of action, party identity, etc. Using Westlaw, Lexis, Nexus, Texas SOS, and other electronic research systems. Calendaring and tracking all deadlines, and insuring timely compliance with same. Working with clients to prepare draft responses to discovery. Draft "file ready" responses for attorney review E-filing state and federal and Hospital lien searches. Negotiate reductions on medical bills, liens, and subrogation claims pursuant to attorney direction and oversight Review and preparation of releases and settlement disbursement documents. Maintain client interaction including review of discovery, deposition preparation, etc. The candidate must have a High School Diploma. Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is must. Moderate to heavy Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation experience including car/truck accident is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and work under pressure are crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important. Paralegal Certification, Needles experience, and Federal Court Experience/ Filing are a plus.
