This DC office is an outpost of a major New York firm, but don't worry; the atmosphere is anything but cutthroat. Paralegal Services Coordinator The candidate will work closely with Director of Paralegals in all aspects of coordinating Firm-wide paralegal department; Coordinate assignments and staffing across practice areas/offices; Assist with day-to-day staffing requests to ensure timely completion of all tasks; Track daily attendance of paralegals to ensure proper coverage and compliance; Oversee weekly paralegal time sheets and overtime requests for accuracy and timeliness; Monitor weekly DTE entries to ensure compliance with submission deadlines; Schedule and coordinate weekend on-call paralegal program across departments; Coordinate paralegal vacation schedules and Holiday coverage; Review and process incoming paralegal applicant resumes including scheduling interviews and soliciting feedback; Assist with yearly Project Assistant orientation program including coordinating schedules, travel, content and training; Facilitate new hire on boarding, office assignments, and orientation; Coordinate paralegal training programs to ensure training aligns to Firms needs and paralegal professional development; Assist with annual and mid-year performance review process including soliciting and compiling written evaluations; Coordinate departments requirements with IT, Payroll, Finance, HR, Operations and Office Administrators; Coordinate conference room set ups and AV coordination across offices including department meetings, interviews, and training. The candidate must have bachelors Degree with 2+ years related experience, preferably at a law firm; Must have ability to interact appropriately with all levels of staff, attorneys and management; Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a complex and fast-paced environment; must be able to quickly and proactively identify problems and develop solutions; must be able to work independently while knowing when to seek consultation; Must have professional demeanor and excellent organizational skills; Must have strong technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as the ability to learn new software and applications; Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
