Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents including standard pleadings, declarations, notices, etc. Heavy scheduling with multiple parties. Preparation of discovery shells, and document productions. Proofreading Reporting, Pleadings, & Discovery for cohesion, spelling, & grammar. Calculating legal deadlines and assisting with office wide calendar management. Preparing tables of contents & authorities. Preparing hard copy & electronic filings and service in accordance with local rules and filing requirements in both State and District Courts. Multi-Line Phone coverage as needed. Must have working knowledge of standard deadlines and procedures in California Civil litigation. High School Diploma & Legal Secretary Certificate required; Bachelors degree preferred. Should have proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe.Experience with document management system, Worldox, preferred. Must have 5+ years legal secretarial experience. Insurance Defense/Civil Litigation experience preferred.
