Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Duties: Heavy client interaction by telephone, mail and in person. Draft various pleadings, motions, correspondence and other documents. Prepare and respond to discovery requests. Review and summarize medical records. Prepare litigation attorney for depositions, mediations and arbitrations. Assist with trial preparation including jury instructions, trial exhibits, Subpoenas, etc. Manage Court dockets. Draft settlement calculations and agreements. Other administrative duties such as organizing case files, calendaring hearings, filing, etc. Qualifications: Associates Degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred. 3-5 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience. Working knowledge of motions, discovery, litigation documents, court practices, etc. Experience with Needles case management/document management software preferred. Attention to detail; able to multitask; professional demeanor. Strong written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment with numerous deadlines. Extremely organized and reliable, including thorough knowledge of assigned files. Ability to prioritize tasks in order of importance. Candidate must have at least an A thorough understanding of all aspects of litigation, preferably personal injury, including knowledge of local rules and NC Rules of Civil Procedure. Superior attention to detail is extremely important.
