Litigation Paralegal The candidate: Researches law, investigates facts, and independently prepares documents to assist attorneys with matters. Summarizes depositions and subpoenaed records. Determines and calendars deadlines. Performs wide variety of legal research and data compilation with little or no supervision. Files pleadings with court clerk. Prepares documents, including reports, correspondence, affidavits, and pleadings. Prepares for mediations and trials. Assists Attorneys at trial. Assists Attorney in preparation for depositions. Communicates with witnesses and experts. Scheduling and enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner. The candidate must have 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in an employment litigation practice. Should have paralegal certification/degree from accredited college or university. Must have proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lexis-Nexis/WestLaw, Relativity, Document Management System. Must possess superior analytical skills with the ability to mine and collect data for cases. Must possess superior communication and writing abilities. Must be willing to commit to additional hours when necessary to reach Firm objectives.
