Criminal Defense Attorney The candidate will represent clients in criminal proceedings, draw up legal plea agreements and advise clients accordingly. Will focus on client intake, court appearances in mostly Travis, Williamson and Hays Counties, and occasional trials. Responsibilities: Client sign ups; ALR requests, scheduling, continuances and appearances; Court scheduling, continuances and appearances; Occupational Driver's license drafting, efiling and obtaining; Expunction and nondisclosure drafting, efiling and obtaining; Drafting, efiling and winning pretrial motions in court; Watching and evaluating DWI videos; Creating and using an effective Trial notebook; First / second chair trial experience; Advising clients on effective plea negotiations and trial strategies; Comply with all legal standards and regulations. 2 years criminal defense experience in Texas essential. Spanish is preferred. Strong analytical and problem solving skills needed. Should have ability to build rapport with clients and prosecutors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.
