Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Will perform work at the direction of the assigned attorneys. Work includes document production, drafting correspondence, transcription, preparing filings, scheduling appointments, setting up meetings, opening and managing client files. Also, requires frequent contact with clients. Prepare routine correspondence, memoranda and legal documents via multiple sources. Answer phone calls and assist clients in communicating with the attorneys. Maintain attorneys' calendars. Establish and maintain appropriate files and records. Close files at completion of cases. Make arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel. Enter time into the billing system. Periodically request pre-bills and statements for billing purposes and prepare statements for signatures to send. Maintain relationships and contact with clients. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree, preferred. 2+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferred. Experience supporting attorneys who practice Corporate Law, preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
