Associate Attorney Duties: Drafting and review of; pleadings, discovery, law and motion, and demand letters. Legal research and writing. Communications with opposing counsels and pro se defendants. Court appearances throughout California. Witness preparation and client consults. Case management and calendar management. Qualifications: Graduated from an ABA accredited law school. Admitted and Licensed to practice law in California. Admitted to Districts Courts in California a plus. No experience required, however, 1+ years of litigation experience is preferred. Multiple state licenses is a plus. Experience with creditors' rights and remedies is a plus. Proactive multi-tasker with the drive and passion to grow professionally, both as an individual and as part of a team. Superb written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with strict deadlines. Ability to handle heavy caseload with minimal supervision. Preferred: Knowledge of various consumer statutes including; FDCPA/RFDCPA, Truth in Lending, and similar statutes. Ability to remain current on new developments in the law and research landmark cases. Skills with Microsoft Office products, research tools, and web-based resources. Ability to learn new case management systems and CRMs.
