Real Estate Paralegal Duties: The candidate will regularly represent clients in real estate transactions, with an emphasis on the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, including the purchase, sale, development and leasing of office, industrial, retail and technology-driven properties. Coordinate real estate transactions from inception to closing. Transactions include; Purchase and Sale Agreements, Leases, and Loans. Manage and coordinate due diligence reviews. Conduct title and survey review. Coordinate escrow activities. Obtain and review any and all reports, including surveys and UCC searches. Review leases, service contracts, and management contracts. Search county land records and tax assessment databases to obtain information on ownership, lenders, existing liens, and easements. Responsible for all aspects of Closing Transactions. Create a closing checklist and prepare closing sets. Draft necessary correspondence and other documents as required. Prepare and review executable Closing Documents, including title documents, loan/lease/purchase and sale documents, and organizational documents. Coordinate with Service Companies to obtain client organizational documents such as Good Standing Certificates, Articles of Formation, and Certificate of Incorporation. Assist attorney with preparation for and at closing. Monitor post-closing items. Draft lease amendments and summaries. Assist with preparation of agreements (purchase and sale agreements, leases, etc.). Perform other tasks as assigned by practice group or paralegal management. Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree. Must have 2+ years of substantive work experience as a commercial real estate paralegal or equivalent commercial real estate experience. Previous law firm experience is preferred. Excellent oral communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work well with others. Proven ability to take initiative and, as needed, direct projects autonomously. Must be able to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and excellent client service. Exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications. Available to work overtime, as required and often on short notice.
