Legal Assistant / Paralegal Immigration The candidate will assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions with government agencies. Draft legal documents for review by attorneys. Areas of practice include Removal Defense, Asylum, VAWA, U Visas and Family based visas, Permanent Residencies, Naturalization and Consular Processing. Should have familiarity and/or experience with the following: I-485 I-864; I-130 DS-260; I-360 I-131'; I-90. Must be able to manage complex tasks efficiently; prioritize work load in extremely time-sensitive field of law; meet strict deadlines; be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to edit carefully; provide outstanding client service; flexible and adaptable to fast-paced environment; organized; self-motivated with strong initiative; have a positive attitude; have a professional demeanor. Fluency in Spanish is required. Must be technology savvy with proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with case management system is a plus. Should have 2-4 years Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience (including any internship experience) with at least 2 years experience in family based immigration. High volume case load experience is preferred. Paralegal certificate preferred.
