Litigation Paralegal Dudites: Support lawyers here and in other offices, and are responsible for court filings in many jurisdictions. Format documents in Microsoft Word perfectly every time, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence. File documents in King County Superior Court, California Superior Courts, and federal courts throughout the country. Prepare subpoenas, deposition notices, and proposed orders. Help manage busy attorney calendars. Docket court deadlines. Review court rules for deadlines and formatting issues, and implement documents and docketing in strict compliance with the rules. Coordinate meetings and teleconferences. Manage client contact lists and client communications.
Qualifications: Federal ECF filing experience, especially in Washington and California. King County e-filing experience. California state-court filing experience. A positive attitude and friendly approach even during hectic times. Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team. Exceptional Microsoft Word skills (seriously, exceptional), including ability to format litigation documents with mastery of Styles, Style Sets, and document Themes. Understanding of civil-litigation procedure. The ability to read, understand, and strictly follow court rules from various jurisdictions. Attention to detail. Ability to self-start, manage several projects, and follow through without reminders. Desire for variety in work, and frequent new challenges. Excellent communication skills. Adobe Acrobat Professional experience.
