Trademark Paralegal The candidate will provide support to a team of trademark attorneys with significant direct contact with IP attorneys. Will work alongside these attorneys handling trademark and copyright prosecution and IP litigation. Serve in the management of all aspects of the firm s trademark and copyright portfolios. Maintain the docket and ensuring that all filing deadlines are met in a timely manner. Draft and electronically file all U.S. federal and state trademark and copyright applications. Prepare trademark clearances for attorney's review in connection with full trademark search results. Respond to office actions, renewals and declarations of use, and preparation of reporting correspondence. Prepare and assist with filing responses to office actions and Section 8 and 15 affidavits; file assignments via the USPTO website; conduct routine online searches. Case management support for all IP litigation matters, logistical support for all depositions, hearings and trials. Document management for all matters with the firm's e-Discovery Department. Maintain and update database of patent portfolios and internal/external points of contact. Assist IP team attorney liaison to ensure patent-related agreements (in-licenses and research agreements) are appropriately tracked and monitored, with payments and reporting deadlines met. The candidate should have minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA upon graduation. Must have 3-5 years of experience with trademark law. Strong experience in trademark prosecution essential. Experience with trademark prosecution software; experience with Alt Legal is a plus. Excellent computer software and research skills relating to trademarks needed.
