Part-time Temporary Of-Counsel Consumer Debt Settlement Attorney The candidate's responsibilities will include providing limited-scope assistance, including settlement oversight, and review/approval of pro se answer drafts prepared by the firm's paralegals. For clients engaging the firm in a broader capacity, responsibilities will also include providing formal representation until the case has been settled. Complex litigation and/or attendance at final hearings, as clients are concurrently enrolled in debt settlement programs, and have retained a firm to assist in settling the cases through voluntary payment arrangements with the creditors. Where attendance at a hearing becomes necessary, the attorney will have the option of attending for additional pay or asking the firm to secure local coverage counsel. Should preferably have 3+ years of experience. Should be licensed and in good standing with the Nebraska Bar Association. Prior civil litigation experience is needed. Experience in consumer debt defense and/or collections are preferred.
