Litigation Paralegal (Insurance Defense) The candidate should be ABA paralegal certificate with at least 7 years experience to join growing insurance defense firm and handle construction defect and personal injury matters. Candidates should have the ability to assist attorneys in all aspects of matters including but not limited to: propounding and responding to discovery; prepare for depositions, mediations or settlement conferences; issuing subpoenas; independently obtain, review and organize medical records/medical billings, calculate damages including medical expenses, lost wages and property damage; review job files; and familiarity with the California and Federal rules of civil procedure. Candidates should also have an ability to manage trial preparation including coordination of witnesses, preparation of jury instructions, trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, supporting documents, exhibits and hearing binders.
