Though the Los Angeles office of this full-service litigation firm continues to specialize in complex insurance litigation coverage, the firm’s main office has recently tried to cash in on the technology litigation market to “bring some growth to the firm.” The transition has not been an easy one; the firm has had an unusually high attrition rate in recent years (insiders tell us some associates left to pursue government jobs but many departed for better money with different firms). However, while salaries remain slightly below market, many observers think the firm is capable of breaking through.
Junior Immigration Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for working with attorneys in the preparation, filing and monitoring of pending employment-based immigration petitions and applications with the USCIS. Should have a B.A. degree and/or paralegal certificate. Should preferably have 2+ years of experience in the business immigration field. Experience submitting applications to and interacting with the USCIS, DOL and other government agencies is needed. Must be able to execute the entire application process. Superb organizational and time management skills are required.
