Qualified Family Law Litigation Attorney Responsibilities: Conduct Initial Consultations. Propound and respond to discovery. Draft and file pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, notices, etc. Take and defend depositions. Meet with clients in and out of office to discuss pending case and to devise strategies. Draft, send and collect executed retainer agreements that specify the parameters of the working relationship. Research cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy. Attend pretrial hearings and mediations on behalf of clients and advise clients. Provide legal guidance and support to clients. Maintain Client confidentiality at all times. Qualifications: Must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing. Must have experience litigating family law in the State of Florida to include Motion Practice, Pleadings, Research, Mediation, Calculations of Equitable Distribution and Child Support, Depositions, Other Forms of Discovery, etc. Must have 1-3 years of Family Law Experience. Must have superior computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite and PDF. Must have superior research skills and experience using WestLaw. Must be an eager and hungry sociable personality with a thirst for learning and promoting the firm.
