Paralegal Assistant The candidate will work in the Banking and Finance Team within Financial Services & Capital Markets Business Unit. Will provide attorneys and paralegals with assistance in managing case files and closing binders. Prepare closing checklist and assist in coordinating the closing process for various commercial lending transactions. Request and analyze UCC searches. Prepare closing binders; provide organization and assembly of supporting documents; ensure all necessary documentation is included; verify required signatures are present; coordinate exhibits. Distribute closing binders. Serve as point of contact for client questions/concerns related to closing binders. Create, maintain, and organize files and prepare such files for closing. Upload documents to the system and send appropriate documents to clients and other related parties. Assist in preparing and filing or recording a variety of documents including mortgages, deeds of trust and UCC financing statements. Other duties as assigned. Meet annual targeted billable hours of 1000. High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred. Ability: Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Ability to deliver superior service to all internal and external customers and communicate effectively. Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with clients and employees at all times; professional appearance required. Ability to successfully perform position requirements with excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands. Ability to produce acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce quality final work product. Ability to exercise good judgment at all times by making sound and practical decisions; ability to assume responsibility for decisions and act decisively under deadlines.
