Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will be primarily responsible for scheduling appointments, typing attorney pleadings and correspondence, scheduling court appearances, checking service of complaint, and must have the ability to juggle priorities. Follow practices and processes that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company standards, and serve the needs of clients. This includes a commitment to a process of continuous improvement. Comply with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, the companys attendance policy. Perform general secretary duties like dictation, correspondence, handling of mail, scanning. Prepare guardianship paperwork, scheduling court hearings for minors files. Handle physical and electronic court filings. Make ready documents for filing, mailing, e-mailing, faxing, Document Production and correspondence in support of the work of Legal Assistants. Saving case related documents, proofreading and make grammatical and spelling corrections on legal forms. Schedule client calls, meeting coordination and calendaring.Back up clerical support for assistants including mail, copying, faxes. Perform other duties within the employees training and skills as directed by Core Leader. The candidate must have High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1+ year previous Litigation Legal Secretary Experience in a law firm or comparable industry is required. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally and in written form with clients is important. Display true passion for client and community service and work independently without regular direct supervision.
