Associate Attorney Duties: Preparing e-filing bankruptcy pleadings and other legal documents; Meet with potential clients; Advise clients on the different options available to them through bankruptcy; Draft new bankruptcy cases; Conduct research to support legal proceedings; Help manage cases from filing through discharge; Attend hearings; Prepare various objections, pleadings, and motions; Meet with existing clients to prepare for hearings; Respond to client questions via phone and email. Qualifications: Member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia; 2+ years of experience working in consumer bankruptcy. Extensive communication skills with clients, the courts, trustees, debtors and opposing counsel; Enjoys working as part of a team but can work independently when needed Moderate computer skills. Knowledge of the CM/ECF online filing system required; Experience with BestCase; Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Deadline and detail-oriented.
