Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Provide support to a small team of attorneys by updating calendars, scheduling appointments and docketing case events/deadlines. Draft, proofread, finalize and file pleadings and other Court filings. Prepare documents and exhibits for mediations and court hearings/trials. Assist with all stages of discovery including preparation of written discovery requests and responses, document collection, reviewing and summarizing documents, managing document databases, preparing privilege logs, and coordinating with vendors. Conduct legal and factual research. Analyze, summarize and compile timelines and reports regarding findings. Perform daily case management tasks, such as maintaining general contact with clients, verifying case deadlines and organizing key case materials. Oversee the litigation docketing and actively communicate deadlines to attorneys. Screen potential clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and flexibility for overtime required. 3+ years of litigation experience. Experience with electronically filing court documents. Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively and/or independently, while being proactive in prioritizing multiple projects to meet deadlines. Proficiency in legal software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Ipro Eclipse, Summation or similar. Familiarity with employment law in state and federal courts, as well as a working knowledge of Federal and Washington State Court Rules and procedures, a plus. Strong organizational skills and ability to streamline processes and procedures.
