Insurance Defense Paralegal The candidate will be preparing Discovery Responses for specific cases. Preparing Phase and Status Reports to client based on review of File and Claim File. Conducting legal research on LexisNexis for important legal matters relevant to a case, and prepare a memo to the Attorney regarding same. Preparing for depositions, including summaries by gathering and preparing documents relevant to the deponent as exhibits. Updating clients, when appropriate, on status of cases. Preparing standard motions, including pulling exhibits for the motion. Involved with trial preparation. Performs all other tasks assigned by Paralegal Manager. The candidate should have at least 2+ of Personal Injury Protection. Must be able to perform substantive legal work that requires the knowledge and understanding of legal concepts, research and databases. Must be able to support the Attorneys in moving their cases forward toward completion while performing and meeting deadlines. Detail oriented, organized, ability to multi-task and analytical skills are desired. Paralegal certification is a plus.
