Litigation Paralegal The candidate collects, analyzes, organizes, and maintains factual information and documents in accordance with correct legal practice and procedure. Performs billable work from pre-suit to settlement. The candidate should be a member of the Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc., the National Association of Legal Assistants, and the Legal Assistant Management Association. Must have 5+ years of experience working as a litigation paralegal in a large law firm. Should also have extensive trial, mediation, and arbitration experience. Must have vast experience within all the steps of the litigation process from pre-suit investigation to discovery throughout the appeals process. Relevant experience within a large law firm is strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court laws, court procedures, and electronic discovery is required. Should also have a thorough knowledge of state and federal court systems, procedures, and laws relating to evidence and trial practice. Should have the ability to work independently but effectively with others. Must be detail-oriented; have excellent communication, computer, organizational, research, and technical skills; a high level of problem-solving ability; attention to detail with an Expert level in Summation or similar.
