Paralegal/Legal Assistant The candidate will be responsible for: Drafting pleadings and discovery requests and responses for civil litigation and family law cases; Obtaining service of process and assisting with the issuance of summons and writs; Editing and formatting briefs and memorandums; Managing docket of deadlines and case priorities; filing documents with the court, scheduling mediation and/or hearings; Calendar and email management for lead attorney Managing document storage and production and handling electronic discovery processes; Professional communications with clients and Court personnel and organizing files electronically. Managing time entries, billing. Qualifications: Bachelor degree or equivalent; Certified Paralegal Certificate Preferred. 10+ years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal (business, commercial, and family law experience preferred). Experience with Federal Court filings and systems such as PACER and ECF a must. Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure a must. Knowledge and mastery of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel and Adobe Acrobat a must. Excellent writing skills attention to detail, grammar and spelling. Spanish fluency is a plus. Familiar with Clio is a plus.
