Litigation Paralegal The candidate's duties include: Draft correspondence, court pleadings, discovery, and settlement demands with the utmost attention to grammatical correctness; Learn and understand the clients injury(s), acquire insurance information, set medical appointments, gather medical reports, brief attorney, provide document control and calendaring of important dates; Meet deadlines, especially court filings, electronic filings, etc. Perform legal research for the client's case as needed. Should have knowledge of court and filing rules; Assist in preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions and/or trial; Ability to read medical reports and determine important aspects or discrepancies. Must have excellent organizational skills as well as have the ability to multi-task. Must be able to provide excellent client relations. Should have 5+ years personal injury paralegal experience. Plaintiff work a plus. Should have experience and proficiency in drafting pleadings, discovery, settlement demands, and correspondence. Should have strong case management skills and Knowledge of court rules and Strong personal skills, as well as have a handle on some basic medical terminology. Strong grammatical and computer skills a must. Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and a good attitude. Microsoft Office (Word) required.
